What we collect on deepdivedata.co, why, and how to opt out.
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This site, deepdivedata.co, is published by Belenga Dev, an independent technology company based in Harare, Zimbabwe. This page explains what data the site collects when you visit, the third-party services that process it, and the choices you have.
Most of the site works without you giving us anything. You can read our investigations and use the interactive tools without an account and without submitting personal details. The exceptions are the newsletter, which needs your email address, and the analytics and advertising services described below.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run user accounts or logins.
The site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-5H19HQSFTP) to understand which investigations and tools people use. Google Analytics sets cookies that record an anonymised identifier and the behaviour described above. We use this to decide what to build next, not to identify individual readers.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We are in the process of adding Google AdSense to the site. Once ads are live, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
The site loads a small number of third-party resources: Bootstrap and Font Awesome from public content delivery networks for styling, and the Google services named above. These providers receive your IP address as a normal part of serving files, and each operates under its own privacy policy.
If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights such as access, correction, or erasure, contact us and we will act on your request.
Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained under Google's standard retention settings. Correspondence is kept only as long as we need it to deal with your query.
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We will update this page when the services we use change — for example, when AdSense goes live. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
