Zimbabwe Already Has a Nationwide Merchant Banking Network. Banks Just Don't Own It.

Every morning hundreds of bread trucks visit more retailers than any bank in Zimbabwe — delivering stock on credit, collecting cash, moving it to depot in sealed safes the driver can't open. One reported operation alone runs 91 trucks to 5,500 retailers. By a conservative model that's US$225M+ in cash a year, from one distributor, with no banking licence.
